Board Members

We have a passionate, dedicated, and professional team to carry out our mission of poverty alleviation and quality health promotion in black Canadian and poor rural Ghanaian communities. Below are brief profiles of the core team. 

Mrs. Paulina Osei-Akoto, Vice President/Deputy CEO

An educationist and a minister, Isaac has a passion to contribute to building capacity to meet the current need for a next generation of spiritual leadership in the twenty first century church. His credentials include:

  • Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Policy and Administration, with concentration in Non-profit Leadership and Management

  • Professional French and Business teacher with over 22 years of high school teaching experience in Ghana and Canada combined.

  • Ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC)

  • Served a 4-year term with Inter Varsity Ghana (GHAFES) as Training Secretary

  • Taught and preached in several churches in Ghana, United States, and Canada.

Biochemist, environmentalist and health promotion specialist, Paulina makes the most of every opportunity by contributing to addressing others’ health and spiritual needs through healthy lifestyle seminars and teaching the word of God. Paulina’s credentials include:

  • B. Sc. (Biochemistry); Master of Public Health; Post-Graduate in Environmental Control and Post-Graduate in Health and Safety degrees.

  • Environmentalist (Household Hazardous Waste), Region of Peel, Canada for the past 15 years,

  • Clinical Biochemist and laboratory manager for 6 years, MEDILAB, Ghana.

  • Sunday School Teacher and youth mentor since 1987

  • Passionate speaker at workshops and seminars in spiritual disciplines and health promotion.

Dr. Kofi Darko Internal medicine specialist and critical care physician, Kofi shares the view that part of evangelism is through service and community transformation. He capitalizes on opportunities to educate the public, and medical students and mentor the youth. His credentials include:

•  Medical Doctorate (MD)

•  Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC)

•  Master of Science in Tumour biology research (MSc)

•  Assistant Professor; Department of Internal Medicine, Queens University

•  Internal Medicine Section Lead at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital

Rolland Okai

Rolland has several years of experience in the Law and Security Industry and currently works for the Toronto Transit Commission as Operations Supervisor. He takes pride in helping his community through mentorship, financial planning, and family empowerment. Rolland Credentials include:

  • Associate degree, Law and Justice (Laurentian University)

  • Diploma, Police Foundation (Cambrian College)

  • Human Rights Project (UNICEF Canada)

  • Department Sports/Outreach Organizer (Toronto Transit Commission)

Michael Kpodjie 

Michael is an Educationist and an elementary school teacher with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB)
Michael's credentials are as follows:

  • Masters of Education(M.Ed)-

  • Bachelor of Arts(B.A) Degree in French 

  • Diploma in Education 

Holds Additional Qualifications in

  • E.S.L (Part 1 and 2)

  • Special Education Part 1 

  • Principal Qualification Part 1

  • Education Law Part 1

  • Passionate about teaching and motivating students to give out their best in learning.

The goal of CTPI is to help rural Ghanaian students by providing them with the needed educational and healthcare resources to overcome the list of poverty related barriers that prevent them from fully participating in school and ultimately ruining their future and the future of their communities by killing their potentials and dreams.
